How I Work
My reasons for becoming a financial professional are deeply personal. I repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. I am confident that with my understanding of personal finance, coupled with my training as a financial professional, I can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, I have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. I feel a commitment to my community.

Qualifications
Jim received a Master of Science in Finance from Loyola University of Maryland. He has a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Accounting and Business Administration from High Point University in High Point, North Carolina. Jim is an inactive licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Committed to the Community
Jim is a native of Lutherville, Maryland, now living in Chestertown with his wife. He has three children and was active coaching all of his children in recreation sports when they were young and now enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, exercising and gardening. Jim has served as a member of the Alumni Board of High Point University where he was an Academic All American in baseball. Jim also played professionally after college in the Cincinnati Reds and Boston Red Sox organizations. Jim was also a founding member of the Board of Trustees of Boys Hope Girls Hope, Baltimore Maryland.
Recognition
Jim is a 2018 inductee into the High Point University Athletic Hall of Fame, and has been a member of the Dulaney High School Athletic Hall of Fame since 2008.
